Aasma Tulika is an artist based in Delhi. Her practice engages with belief systems and their entanglement with technology and social relations. Locating communication infrastructure as sites where myth and memory are embedded in procedures, she speculates on flows of power complicated by settled habits and histories. She works with written and unwritten codes, fictional scenarios and peer networks that are arranged as video installations, sound albums, and performances. She teaches courses on material cultures and archives at universities and educational programs.

Aasma’s works have been shown at PAC Padiglione d’Arte Contemporanea, Milan; Westspace Gallery, Melbourne; Kunsthalle Bern, Switzerland; Hangzhou Triennale of Fiber Art, China; Watermans Arts Center, London; Foundation for Indian Contemporary Art, Delhi; and has given presentations at Australian Center for Contemporary Art, Melbourne; Sarai, Center for the Study of Developing Societies, Delhi; Khoj International Artists Association, Delhi and Foundation for Indian Contemporary Art, Delhi. She was a fellow at the Home Workspace Program at Ashkal Alwan, Beirut, and has been a recipient of the Inlaks Fine Arts Award and Art Jameel Research and Practice Platform grant.
